Watermelon Ice Cubes

I was super excited to try this after seeing the idea on the Rachael Ray show. It was one of those "why-didn't-I-think-of-that?" moments! I just had to share here on Joyously Domestic!

It could not be more easy!

All you need is a seedless watermelon. That's it! Simple enough, right?

Cut your melon into 1 1/2 inch slices. Then, cut off all of the rind ... including the white part.

Then, cut each slice into cubes roughly the size of ice cubes.

Place in a single layer on a baking tray or sheet tray.

Wrap the tray in plastic wrap and freeze for several hours or overnight (or until cubes are completely frozen). Serve in your favorite summer drinks!

No more watered-down drinks from using traditional ice cubes! The watermelon will subtly flavor your beverage. And, you'll be able to nibble on the watermelon as you drink or when your beverage is gone ... and it will have taken on some of the flavor of your drink!

If you don't plan to use the cubes right after they're frozen, seal them up in a Ziploc bag!
